  1. #WIPWednesday This week I finally got the right beads for this, and I have finished my 🍁 earrings.

But I will not wear them until my citizenship certificate is in my hands.

I will say that my #LostCanadian status has changed my relationship to the color red. I no longer loathe it.

  2. "after Canada removed generational limits for those seeking dual citizenship, more Americans have reportedly applied for Canadian citizenship than the next nine source countries combined"

#LostCanadian cousins have found this out, apparently. But it only cost $75CAD.

  3. More #LostCanadian information. If you have Canadian ancestors you can apply. #Trans families are succeeding with urgent processing too. Millions of Americans may now also be considered Canadian under new law apnews.com/article/cana...?

Millions of Americans may now ...

  4. How I'm managing my US anxiety right now: thinking constantly about my #LostCanadian application and digging in to the family story.

I found the ship they took to #Boston today.

  5. Finally a decent article about the #LostCanadian new option for people with Canadian ancestors.

There was someone approved recently 9 generations out from the #Acadian displacement. It's real. If you can prove your Canadian ancestors, you can claim citizenship. It's not naturalization.

  6. If you haven't heard about the #LostCanadian status, this is the quickest overview. @sophielabelle summarizes it.

If you have any Canadian ancestor you can apply for proof of citizenship now. It's not naturalization and a test. It's just "you're in" if you send the forms and birth certificate chain.

We have seen people whose ancestors were born in the 1730s succeed. Many trans families have too.

  7. @idoubtit I think of it as a swamp. There are islands of sanity. The lace and tatting is good. Important local news comes through there for my city (although that has some swamp sections too).

The #LostCanadian forum has been an absolute lifesaver. Genuinely saving trans families right now.

    But....here we are.

  8. I wrote a long + thoughtful reply to a young person deciding on the US or Canada because of their #LostCanadian opportunity.

I talked about scientists leaving, destruction of institutions, women dying from lack of health care, a looming trans genocide....and more.

    #Reddit removed it for "hate'.
