Week 40 of 2026 was a hectic one, computer wise. Numerous problems with the website that are hopefully now fixed. The storms probably helped because it meant I didn't want to go out anyway and took time to try to fix the site.

Week 39 of 2026 was a strange week. Some days were pure lazy, others were full of little jobs. I met old friends out for meals and had a great home cooked Sunday Lunch.

Gone full on domestic today.
🫣 Cleaned parts of the house I hadn't seen for ages, moved more things around, & cleaned kitchen.
🐔 Cooking a whole roast chicken with roast spuds for dinner.
😴 This afternoon will be all about lazing in front of the TV, snoozing and playing computer games.
🍺 I may even have a cold can of beer after dinner.

I won't be swimming again this morning. Strangely I love the sound of the rain because it stops or softens the noise of the tinnitus that I suffer from permanently.

Another week spent mainly in Los Alcázares. I continued my swimming, met friends and neighbours over breakfast in local cafés and met others when I did venture out of my home town for lunch. And let's not forget, Arsenal went top of the Premier League.

Week 32 of 2026 was spent entirely in Los Alcázares. It was very hot, and the extreme heat stopped me from doing too much, but I stepped up my swimming and finally made enough room to sit on my balcony to read.

@randahl Spain does have a bad fireworks habit. Some parts worse than others. Wedding, baptism, first communion or local saint's day? Fireworks. Big fiesta (like Las Fallas in Valencia)? A crap-ton of fireworks.
In the boom years (say, 2006) some local tourist seaside towns that were making a fortune from construction licenses (looking at you, #losalcazáres) had a huge display every weekend in summer, literally burning their extra cash.
Doggies and kitties do suffer in the urban environment.
