  1. Now that #LoriVallowDaybell has been found guilty (again), I don't have a case to follow. I'm not going to follow the second round of #KarenRead because it infuriates me too much. (Especially being someone who thinks she's guilty but that there's no way anybody can prove it because the cops were incompetent.) Maybe I should, I dunno, try something other than #TrueCrime?

  2. On Monday, Lori Vallow Daybell gave her opening statement in her conspiracy to commit murder trial in Arizona. This is going to be interesting because she represents herself.

  3. Oh, and then, don’t imagine you can get away with a saccharine sweet attitude towards your husband’s sister that you neglected to inform about her brother’s death. (Since we can’t (yet) get into the fact that she killed the child she and the now-dead husband had adopted that was this sister’s grandchild.)

(I really really really hope #LoriVallowDaybell opens the door for that, but she hasn’t yet.)

  4. Oh, good, it's the Cellebrite expert talking about the dry stuff after the lunch break in the trial, so I can probably have a nap and not miss #LoriVallowDaybell lawyering herself into a conviction.

  5. Also, I feel like a bad #Mormon because I don’t go to church because I haven’t figured out how to unwind my childhood trauma from various religious topics. But at least I haven’t claimed to be a translated being who doesn’t need to repent. So maybe there’s hope for me after all. #LoriVallowDaybell

  6. If you are defending yourself in court, and your brother is testifying against you in court, addressing him as Mr Lastname may not be the best choice for showing people you’re not a jerk who might do something as evil as conspire to kill your husband. #LoriVallowDaybell #IANAL

  7. Oh snap. "Don't flatter yourself." This witness clapping back at #LoriVallowDaybell is restoring some life to my body right now.

  8. Watching the #LoriVallowDaybell hearing yesterday made it so clear that she is not ready for trial. The judge has tried to get her to ask for a continuance, but she refused. I now understand why. She wants to make herself out to be the victim, because that is her position of strength. She can then rage about how unfair it is that people expect the schedule to be followed when she’s on lockdown, or when she gets resources slowly or whatever. #TrueCrime

  9. Colby says Lori is going to be on Dateline on Friday and he is afraid of about what she might talk.
He said he interviewed her last year and she blamed everything on Tylee.

  10. As Pilar Melendez reports,

"Throughout the six-week trial, prosecutors argued that Vallow and her husband, Chad Daybell, were driven to kill by their beliefs in a renegade branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a need for money to start their new life."

  11. "You justified all this by going down a bizarre, religious rabbit hole and clearly you're still down there,” Judge Steven Boyce told Lori Vallow Daybell after she was given a life sentence for murdering her two children and conspiring to kill her husband's first wife — then stood up in the courtroom at her sentencing trial and went on yet another religious rant.

  12. I think my fascination with the #LoriVallowDaybell trial and verdict is FINALLY SOMEONE IS BEING HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR SOMETHING.

My frustration with Trump eluding justice over & over is finally finding some relief in this.

I know that’s misdirected and probably unfair, but fuck it.

  13. Lori Vallow found guilty of killing 2 of her kids, conspiring to kill husband's first wife

Her husband, who was also arrested and charged with murder and conspiracy in connection with the children's deaths, will have a separate trial that has not been scheduled yet.

Witnesses have testified that the couple were deeply involved in a doomsday belief system, claiming they were seeing "zombies" and demonic possession all around them.
