I’ve been watching a lot of heavy stuff lately and needed an antidote. Just finished The Doctor Takes a Wife (1940).
It’s light, frothy fun. I know it’s problematic and dated in some spots. But it’s also surprisingly sharp in others.
And here’s my #UnpopularOpinion: I think Ray Milland is better suited for this role than Cary Grant, the original choice, would have been.
