I've just done another play-through of Loop Hero. I really enjoyed it.
It's a roguelite game, where instead of controlling what the main character does, you use cards to create the environment around them. Ultimately the gameplay is about managing probabilities and discovering synergies. It some lore which I think does a decent job of justifying the way game works with a fairly simply but interesting story.
... anyway, I reckon it's pretty good.

- I played some of #LoopHero and #ShogunShowdown. Good games!
- I finished reading the #DrStone manga.I did a lot of #gamedev on #StarSpark:
- Tons of combat updates/rebalancing based on feedback
- Added cooldowns to actions so they can't be spammed
- Cool new special action background
- Made a Burst action with animations
- Made a CRT shader that can be toggled
- Lots of planning -

Guess I'm gonna focus on learning #LoopHero on my iPad instead of playing PC games.
I assume, anyway, that even in 2024, a sudden instant power-off (from, say, having too small a UPS attached to your gaming pc - I'm working on it!) can still result in Windows borking your filesystem?
Maybe we’re past that sort of thing now? Would be nice.

I tried #Box64 on my #MNTReform with #BananaPiCM4 yesterday. It's surprising how fast it is. #LoopHero and #WorldOfGoo are running pretty well, for instance.
I also tried #Parkitect and #ValhallaHills, but those weren't really playable. Valhalla Hills only rendered its UI, everything else was black (probably needs OpenGL features missing in #Panfrost), and #Parkitect crashed frequently.
Now I wonder if #Gentoo #Crossdev can be used for building/running #Box86?

Another #GamePass winner: #LoopHero is the palette cleanser I've been looking for now that I'm bored with Marvel Snap and waiting for Diablo IV. It looks deceptively simple but has unexpected depth, both in its story and mechanics, and the intensity ramps up with every loop. Love it!
