This is back when I tried to write myself a guide for the "looney style" I made in a previous post! I was so into the idea of making a guide that I didn't actually know what exactly made sense for the style, but this page is still very cute so I'm going to post it! It'd be cool to say that my most enduring and frequent source of media references, in my own mind, in my own headspace, is something like Doctor Who or Trek or Peanuts or Muppets or something, and those are HUGE to me ... but after all these decades, I can acknowledge that nothing will ever un-seat old Warner Brothers cartoons as my most basic framework for understanding the universe.

POBRE COYOTE: Warner Bros. o más bien su CEO David Zaslav, no quiere soltar #CoyoteVsAcme. Originalmente destinada a un cajón para recuperar impuestos a pesar de estar terminada, ante presión de la comunidad creativa se dijo que iban a venderla a otra distribuidora... pero no.
Según un reporte de The Wrap, WB descartaría la película sin ningún tipo de anuncio al respecto. De acuerdo al medio, Netflix, Paramount, y Amazon vieron la película e hicieron ofertas, pero ninguna fue aceptada por Warner, que quería entre 75 y 80 millones de dólares por la cinta.
La película mezcla de animación e imagen real dirigida por Dave Green y con actuaciones de gente como John Cena y Will Forte, costó 75 millones, y de descartarla, WB recuperaría unos 35-40 millones en impuestos.
Eso no cubriría el costo de producción, pero si el estudio cree que la película no recaudaría bien, recuperaría parte del costo, y evitaría los gastos de publicidad. Seguiremos informando.
