Kurz gesagt: Nach meinem derzeitigen Kenntnisstand erscheint es mir fair zu sagen, dass Russlands imperiale Geschichte Epochen mit ausgeprägt kolonialen Merkmalen umfasst. Zugleich unterscheidet sie sich in wesentlichen Punkten vom Kolonialismus der anderen europäischen Mächte (Maritimer Handel fehlt!), sodass eine eigenständige Betrachtung sinnvoll erscheint.

In the woods, they were attacked by a rabid carniverous ape, but taking advantage of the cover and with the help of the boggiwogs, they were able to deal with it swiftly.
