Greg (@sinplicity), his wife, their friend, and I are watching #TheLovedOnes. Greg and I have both seen it numerous times, but his wife and their friend haven't seen it before.
I love introducing people to this film! (I was the one who first showed it to Greg years ago). It's got that raw brutality that is a trademark of Australian horror, but there are moments of such subtle brilliance.. like in the dinner table scene where Bright Eyes is introduced, and Lola has milk on her top lip highlighting her childlike immaturity.
It's a really clever film.
