The beginning of the final thread that @Tinu posted here, giving an update on her medical status and her #battles with her insurance company and her medical treatments:

May the predatory insurance system see some retributive justice for what they did to her.

@juliewebgirl I used to be a morning person - I'd roll happily out of bed at 5:30am without an alarm clock, and all my best problem solving and ideas happened before lunch, often before breakfast.
Now I need a couple extra hours of awake horizontal time before I can even contemplate getting up, having breakfast, and only then starting to cope with the world.

I said, “You know that this is what is described by the term ‘Long Covid’, and that it probably affects as many as 1 in 10 people who have had Covid, and even more who have had subsequent infections, right?”

Today I had a conversation with someone who has had at least 2 *confirmed* Covid infections, the last about a year ago. They were commenting that they have had several respiratory infections this winter, one after the other, almost before the first clears up, and that they are feeling run down and unable to recover from them. “After even a five minute conversation, I feel light-headed and unable to focus”, and described always feeling sapped of energy.

Really starting to wonder how much of this fatigue is actually my muscles, or my brain giving up at forcing it’s way through the constant pain.

“Trial By Error: Correctives from Putrino & Iwasaki (and Others) to the Long-Covid-Is-Psychosomatic Claims” by David Tuller
quote:
“The Iwasaki-Putrino essay pokes holes in the argument that the failure to have already unravelled all of #longCovid’s pathophysiological mechanisms means that this outpouring of reported symptoms is largely the result of “psychosocial strain” and related constructs”@longcovid #longcovid19 #longcovidsucks #PostCovid #postCOVID19

Masks stick to me - at least indoors like in trains. A lot of my fellow travellers do the same 🙏 #PublicPlaces #thoughtfulness #LongCovidSucks
