  1. One of these days I'm going to add a function for my Solo-RPG minor mode for #Emacs which allows me to export my #Lonelog notation session logs as colorized HTML, for including in my articles. But it is not this day! Because right now, I'm instead going to start working on the #HexCrawl support.

  6. Wow, there's a lot of news and updates related to the #LoneLog #SoloRPG notation system. Among other things, they have a Discord server now. zeruhur.itch.io/lonelog/devlog

  11. I'm very happy with my #SoloRPG mode for #Emacs, which is now available on #MELPA. It started with support for the #Lonelog solo RPG notation format, but has since expanded. I've now added support for #tarot cards and generating NPC personalities and appearances.

Today, I'm going to have a look at adding #Hexcrawl support.

If anyone wants to have a look at the code, it's available at github.com/Enfors/solo-rpg

  16. I've now added rudimentary tag support in my #Emacs minor mode which adds support for the standardized #Lonelog #SoloRPG notation system. Tags are automatically detected, and the most recent version of each tag is displayed in a side window.

I'm not sure if this is how tags are intended to be used, but that's how they work right now in my mode. I might change it in the future if I learn they're intended to be used in another way. Oh, and I have an #Emacs solo-rpg-mode I'm working on too.

  21. Right now, I'm having so much fun creating a system-neutral #SoloRPG "minor mode" for those of us who play inside the #Emacs text editor. I managed to get a stand-alone #LoneLog minor mode working (and published on MELPA!) the other day, so this is my next challenge. Currently working on the NPC generator. This is a great way to learn more about #lisp. Next thing I add will probably be a dungeon room generator. This mode may end up being useful for general #TTRPG prep.

  26. Having gotten my feet wet by writing an #Emacs (highly advanced text editor/IDE) mode for #LoneLog - the #SoloRPG notation standard (basically, a standardized way of writing your RPG journal), I'm considering also adding a full-blown SoloRPG mode with dice rolling, oracles, etc. NPC generator is also a possibility. Perhaps even (at some point) dungeon generators and the like? Hmm.

  31. For those of you who are interested in Solo RPG play, you really check out #LoneLog - a simple notation system for writing down what happens in your game in a simple and clear format. I really like it, so I've added some basic support to #Emacs for colorcoding the syntax.
