#LondonTransPride was awesome. But SO many people were smoking in the shaded areas. As as disabled trans person with asthma, it'd be nice if we had a smoking free zone. I couldn't move without inhaling second hand vape fumes or cigarette smoke :( .
One gal sat right next to me and started smoking, not really caring as the smoke blew back directly into my hair and face #trans #UK
I’ve just about recovered from #LondonTransPride and I had a great time. What stood out to me, though, was how unorganised it felt. It was scheduled to start at 2pm, but by 3:30pm the back of the parade was still at Langham Place. There didn’t seem to be any proper road closures or barricades along the route – just a bit of tape here and there to separate us from pedestrians. We were even crossing busy intersections while cars drove through the parade.
Why were there no ram barricades?
Went to London Trans+ Pride yesterday, I'm glad to have made it, it was something I've wanted to go to since I heard about it, but I'm normally in the wrong country given I don't live in the UK any more.
When trans rights are under attack, what do we do? Stand up! Fight back!

London Trans Pride
Today we marched with the @proteusleather.club block at London Trans pride.
It felt good to see so many people turn out (150,000 by early estimates) and was a good medicine for the soul. It can be easy to feel powerless and alone in the current political climate so coming together in solidarity breaks that illusion.
Unfortunately the Heat and general exhaustion from the day before caught up with me before endpoint of the March. I started swaying on my feet and the world was getting a little bit ‘wobbly’
Knowing it was about time to listen to my body I and a friend peeled off to get food and a lot of liquids.
Afterwards I went home and crashed out on the bed and passed out for 3 hours.
Sad I couldn’t make it to the end but being there was important, and seeing all the members of the leather community from @[email protected] and @londonleatherdykes.bsky.social who showed up alongside Proteus in solidarity was great.

We’re on our way to London Trans+ Pride. If you’re coming along, stay safe: bring snacks, water, sun cream, face mask and travel in a group where possible. If travelling into London alone, stay in crowded areas (as long as that particular crowd is a safe one to be in).
