After admiring it from a distance as I roll past on the Metropolitan line at 50mph, I finally stopped by Kilburn Station (between rain showers!) to photograph this beautiful, young ‘prunus mume’ specimen on the platform in its late stages of bloom. 🌸

Not many unopened buds left; the plum blossom in bloom will likely shed their petals in a few days.
