Simplytranslate è un frontend alternativo per Google traduttore completamente privo di tracker, creato dal team di Simple web. È FOSS e self-hostabile, e funziona meravigliosamente anche senza abilitare JS, compresa la lettura vocale del testo.
La sua interfaccia volutamente minimalista è stata progettata per essere completamente compatibile con tutti i tipi di browser, compresi quelli text based.
Oltre ad essere un frontend per Google translate, lo è anche per altri traduttori, come Libre translate, Reverso ed altri, ma questo dipende dall'istanza che scegliete di usare dato che non tutte offrono la possibilità di cambiare il traduttore alla fonte.
Attualmente, nel momento in cui sto scrivendo, sono disponibili 17 istanze nel clearweb, 5 istanze onion, 2 istanze I2P, e 1 istanza su Lokinet.
Personalmente adoro Simplytranslate perché mi permette di usufruire delle migliori traduzioni (ahimè, quelle di Google) senza passare direttamente da Google traduttore, che costringe gli utenti ad abilitare JS, rigetta gli IP di Tor e tiene traccia anche di quante volte sono andati in bagno nell'ultimo mese.

Quickly tested #NYM #NYMtech #NYMproject privacy platform / cryptocurrency and it seems to be pretty broken still. And probably on similar path compared to #LokiNet / #OXEN. Ie. not used for anything much. -
To keep in touch w/family at a protest, couple more options to try: Session / Briar.
Briar is unique: ability to use both Tor, and bluetooth/wifi for p2p (in case internet goes down).
Both use onion routing for internet (Briar: Tor, Session: Lokinet)

The underlying technology has been rebranded/ split up into the "#Oxen network" with either #Session or #LokiNet on top.
But they're still using a weird ancap blockchain tokenomics scheme for Sybil mitigation, see "Products built on Oxen":

My concerns regarding Session are raising.
Recently I restored an account and messages which were supposed to be deleted/disappear appeared on the new device.
They still keep their sites behind #Cloudflare.
They still don't have packages on main repositories.
They're banning people who have concerns about sessions' security.
