@thomasbeagle are you familiar with #SeananMcGuire ’s #OctoberDaye series? They are Bujoldian (#LoisMcMasterBujold ) in construction and very well edited. I am blessed with being #ReadAloud to while cooking and we are 10 books deep and loving it.

Picked up _Mirror Dance_, the next book in #LoisMcMasterBujold’s #VorkosiganSaga, as my next read and couldn’t help but think that the cover art looked _awfully_ familiar….

Side note: If you haven’t read the original #EnemyMine novella by #BarryBLongyear, I _highly_ recommend it, particularly as included in the _The Enemy Papers_ omnibus edition (https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/46a54995-4aa5-4960-adf3-312fb95cb624), which expands the original novella to novel length and includes two sequels, plus shorter pieces exploring the Dracula culture and religion. An excellent dive into an alien culture.

And then if you like the deep dive into an alien culture, I also recommend #EleanorArnason’s _Hwarhath Stories: Transgressive Tales by Aliens_ (https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/6ef4b891-a5de-44f4-9daf-8ea128285b64), a #PhilipKDickAward nominee from 2017. Also excellent.
