This is far more secure and less prone to #identity #impersonation as a result.

I've been getting quite a number of attempted* #logins by losers with no honor or higher purpose and with nothing better to do with their sad lives.

It's not as if they eben have the resources or need to find out if any customers are from outside their own ZIP code.
Even if everyone had static IPs allocated and a non-anonymized WHOIS that literally tells them the exact legal adress of every visitor, that would be absurdy
There is no "legitimate interest" because we can do #logins and shopping carts without #cookies and without #JavaScript.
All those shitty #tracking #popups tell me is that they don't value #privacy...

This might be important if, say, you are (or were) using Tumblr as your front-facing website. There’s only so far your average anonymous user can scroll before they’re screened from seeing your work.
(I have in the past recommended Tumblr as a super easy portfolio site for animators etc.)

Probably the best idea for cutting traffic to your web site that serv s #ADs is to #ratelimit and turn ON #logins so the #OpenWeb is subjected to .... *Checks Notes*
.... Less #ADs that use to generate moneys to non-logged in users on your web site.
