Can I just super highly recommend Lodge 49 to anyone who's interested in 20 excellent episodes featuring the mystical convergence of alchemy, the military industrial complex, secret societies, cryptocurrency, gentrification, deindustrialization, and the weight of history, not to mention a deep love and understanding of Long Beach, California?

I've mentioned this show before, but we just finished watching it last night: “Lodge 49.”
Sadly, like most great, thought-provoking shows, it was cancelled after two seasons, but if you're looking for something fun, touching, semi-mysterious, well-written, well-acted, with a kick-ass soundtrack, look here.
I want to immediately re-watch it. #lodge49

We've been watching this show called “Lodge 49" and it's great, but the soundtrack is just SO perfect. It’s all got that mid-late-60s vibe but by contemporary-ish artists. Every time a song comes on when we’re watching I'm like “Oh shoot let me Shazam that.” I tip my cap to the music supervisor of the show.
This is the soundtrack album, but there's more in the show that isn't included here.

I am re(rere)watching #Lodge49 and it is such an amazing tv show. One of the very few show I have seen representing poverty accurately. I SO wish there was a season 3.
If you have not watched it yet, I highly recommend it.

I don't know how many here enjoyed a series that ended way too soon: #Lodge49. Season 2 ended on a cliffhanger that assumed a Season 3. There was so much to that series. What drew me in was the portrayal of people who were brought up middle class who suddenly found themselves downwardly mobile. Maybe that facet of the series was too real for a mass audience.
