Now that Samir Zitouni is out of hospital (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c1j84149g7ko), I hope it's OK to point out that the train incident is a timely example of why #Huntingdon and the wider #Huntingdonshire are generally strongly against aligning with #Peterborough in #LocalGovernmentReorganisation.

Historically, Lincolnshire, like Gaul, “est omnis divisa in partes tres”. In terms of local government reorganisation in England, this should obviously be the model for unitarisation in the county* - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parts_of_Lincolnshire
* given the distribution of modern population and infrastructure, this is probably untrue/a bad idea, but I’m unsure if there is a “good” way to do it. However it is probably the one that could best be pitched to the very conservative/Conservative locals.
