Some great tracks on this one include Gold Dust vs the State of Illinois, Texa$ With a Dollar Sign and Restraining Order Blues. I miss the early 2000’s. #vinyl #poppunk #localbands

S up next in #vinylalphabet is Spitalfield with Remember Right Now. This is my most favorite local band from the pop punk scene here. I was lucky to play a show with their front person Mark who was such a nice person and I’ve known his younger brother since college. Those Days You Felt Alive was a summer anthem for me at the start of college and is still a fun listen years later. I was lucky they repressed this one last year! #vinyl #poppunk #localbands

Taking Mom to her first free outdoor concert at Government House, tomorrow. My friend, Nadene, is coming down from Ladysmith to go with us. My horticulturist friend, Natalie, is meeting up with us there, after her haircut appointment.
I signed 3 of us up for the free Government House tour too. Mom's only been in one room there - when my parents came to support my past speaking engagements there. They've met two different BC Governor Generals, at those past public speaking engagements. I've been in most of the rooms there but never actually took any guided tour. We are going to stroll their gardens, before the evening concert begins.
There's a series of 3 #FreeOutdoorConcerts there & tomorrow is the first of them. My musician friends are playing in 2 different bands on July 18th. We are attending all 3 free concerts.
I miss #LiveMusic a lot & haven't been able to enjoy many shows because almost all are indoors & not covid safe. I'm really looking forward to these free outdoor shows.

In my mind the möbius ring is the perfect symbol to visualize Dany‘s lyrics. Also worked with some Pointclouds. All animations and motion graphics done in #blender3d - composed and edited in Davinci Resolve.

For #TuneTuesday hosted by @kitty the theme is #LocalBands.
Doomriders from #SalemMA are what a lot of people call "death & roll." Metal/hardcore with mostly mid-tempo blues-adjacent bass lines.
They used to have shirts with the graphic from this album that said "Doomriders Salem, MA" and I will kick myself forever that I didn't buy one.
My kid played "Ride or Die" at their first guitar recital and did something that I think was a stage dive? So proud!
