Printed and painted this mini of Nezznar in Drider form (the final boss from Lost Mine of Phandelver). Then one of my players surprised me by showing up with the regular Drow version.
Also 2D printed battle maps for some of the locations in the mine. The battle got a little excessive.

CW: D&D LMoP/Shattered Obelisk Spoilers
How lame would it be to retcon the Redbrands in #LMoP into the Greenbrands in my #DnD campaign?
Like, straight-up just tell my players I’m changing the name and color they wear to fix some issues in the hardcover’s story.
Basically, I want to have Glasstaff and the Black Spider working for Venomfang, who’s looking for the Spell Forge to reassemble the Obelisk.

Started a new Phandelver & Below game last night, and it was a lot of fun. I hope it wasn’t just a one-shot thing because our normal DM was sick. I enjoyed running this on me a lot and hope we can actually get to The Shattered Obelisk part.

[de] Die letzten zwei Wochenenden waren etwas enttäuschend. Vor zwei Wochen vielen die #ttrpg Runden ins Wasser, weil die Spielenden krank waren. Und am letzten Wochenende musste ich alles absagen, weil die #Lupus Symptome es nicht zugelassen hatten, dass ich spiele. D.h. kein #TheBetween am Samstag, kein #TheWldBeyondTheWitchlight am Sonntag und kein #LMoP am Montag. 😢 Und nur bei einem der Spiele wäre ich SL gewesen. Jetzt heißt es Daumen drücken, damit ich Mittwoch #Redskye spielen und am Donnerstag meine #SchatenDerKlage leiten kann.

No #TheBetween on Saturday, no #TheWildBeyondTheWitchlight on Sunday and no #LMoP on Monday 😢 for only one of those I would have been the GM. Fingers crossed that I'll be well enough for #Redskye on Wednesday and my #Eberron campaign #SchattenDerKlage on Thursday.

- in a previous age Cragmaw Castle was The Seven Spires. It is twinned with castles in Cormyr and Shadowdale. Teleportation Circles once linked these castles.- the castle is hidden in Neverwinter Wood behind a Shroud of Secrecy. So look for the ancient oak tree with purple leaves, and utter the wizard-noble's name: Konstal Cragar.

Here's some bonus lore, which the characters should get from talking to the banshee of the Tower of Storms (last week's adventure, opening scene for this week):

2: character rescue the Doppelganger, in the form of Gundren, and take back to Phandalin where, after some misdirection, there is an attempt on the life of Silvar Hallwinter and another chase scene.

- If the characters follow Vyerith immediately, he tries to release the Quaggoth and flee.
- If they don't follow him, shenanigans. He feeds the dwarf to the Quaggoth, and assumes the form of Gundren!
So I see two possible outcomes:
1: characters chase Vyerith through a cavern with a waterfall, along a flooded passage way, and then up a cliff to an opening outside the castle.
