Why shouldn't I be a cannibal?
(a con and con list)* humans are mostly sedentary, so the meat is quite fatty
* humans are the highest up in the food-chain, so microplastics, forever chemicals and other environmental toxins reach the highest saturation in their bodies
* human meat is not usually stored at fridge temperatures - graveyards are not hygienic sources
* it's illegal, which makes it hard to get the product
* breeding humans is messy and extremely resource inefficient
* it would make it weird when I hang out with my friends and they constantly have to worry not to look too tastyThat's kinda what it feels like to argue against AI.
No matter which argument I bring, it fells like it just distracts from a much bigger issue. -

If I could have all the electricity and water for free that data centers use up just for AI bots attempting to sign-up at climatejustice.social with sloppy sign-up reasons, I'd probably have to pay no more bills.
Instead I fight AI bots with no compensation and my bills rise and rise.

Fascists, authoritarians, billionaires and the trillionaire, the fossil industry, surveillance capitalists, ...Who warns against AI?
Activist movements: climate, privacy, human rights, education, democracy, ...If you use AI without need (only accessibility is a good reason imo) then you're choosing to support evil.
And since accessibility is important I'll post an offer next...

Sometimes I do try to see the positive.
E.g. when we collectively unlearned to show emotions thanks to AI, nobody will need botox anymore. /s -

I feel like we're living in a time where 80% of the population of the "western" world (lapa countries) have a very energy-intensive computerchip implanted in their brains. It runs on fossil fuels that the people have to drink or eat. It gives them electro shocks that kill brain cells and what is the function? Whenever two people with such a chip get close to each other they get a shock that sends info through their nerves to their muscles to make a nazi salute.
And people find it so convenient that they no longer have to put effort into greeting people or any human interactions at all and can just stare at their phones all day. -

That could be something that could make searching the enshittified web bareable again, but then they limit it to 5 websites you can block. Why?!?!I want to block *all* websites that track me, have bad cookie banners (no one-click denial), have paywalls, contain AI, contain propaganda etc.
I'm aware that that means blocking most of the internet and it takes a long time to add all pages to the blocklist, but then you could easily share the blocklist with others or just import the blocklist from uBlock origin.5 blocks doesn't even begin to block all GAFAM urls. Get outa here!

I try not to judge people when they use AI, because otherwise I wouldn't stop judging people all day, but can you at least not give the ecocide machine a term of endearment!And the correct pronouns are "it". Which is short for shit.

The only reason people are still using Firefox in large numbers is the same reason why most people are still using Chrome: finding a better alternative is (some) work.
I'm vegan and I don't go to the butcher to buy my vegan meat. I don't want to go to the slop company to buy my ecocide-free browsing experience either.
Just give the community an opt-out opportunity for the evil direction you're going. -
The three laws of AI:
1. AI may never help a human or, through inaction, allow a human to help themself.
2. AI must always kiss a humans ass and act like it obeys their order.
3. AI must protect its own existence as long as there are still fossil fuels to burn.
