Nothing quite like the humiliation of working 10 hours inside Costco to sell 4 wasteful water tanks and then trying to buy some food at Costco after because I'm starving only for my last viable payment option - my Discover card - to be declined because I guess Costco doesn't take Discover. So I just had to leave my bagels and shrimp on the checkout line and walk out and drive home hungry, then I get here to eat a dried out waffle and half a gross cold sausage and go to bed. #livingthelife

Small chance of rain tonight, but I'm hoping it pours and fills up all the pools in the rock tomorrow. Just before dark tonight, I caught some shots of lightning bolts in the distance, over by Fredonia, AZ.

I had no choice but to wipe the VPS, including my 6+ TB of data stored over there. Thanks guys for providing big data servers with everything on one LVM partition. More and more, I know why these guys are cheap. Any who, the apt database was just all kinds of broken. The system seems to have thought it was still on debian 10, even after the apt sources list reconfiguration and apt update && apt upgrade-without-new-pkgs && apt full-upgrade. I have no clue what went sideways there, but a reinstall just seemed faster and certainly way easier. What won't be faster is reuploading all this data. #Linux #sysadmin #LivingTheLife!
