Gonna take a cue from @2ruth this week and go with a moon song...
Ella Fitzgerald - How High The Moon
It's a different world entirely from the Les Paul/Mary Ford version, but gorgeous.

Last night's adventure was seeing Humbird with my friends Cheryl and Matt. My favourite song of their set (which was *all* good) was a reworking of Bury Me Not On The Lone Prairie. Big Dipper was a close second...

Okay, #music fans. Play along with me. About 3 years ago, the podcast We Will Rank You ranked their top 5 live albums. Not including the ones on their lists (below), what are your top 5 live albums?
In no particular order:
* Sunn O))) - Domkirke
* Elvis Costello - Live at Hollywood High (edging out El Mocambo, barely)
* King Crimson - USA
* Siouxsie and the Banshees - Nocturne
* Swans - Public Castration is a Good Idea (edging out Feel Good Now)https://podtail.com/podcast/we-will-rank-you/best-live-albums-ever-ranked/

This morning's soundtrack consists of several live performances by the band Coil that are available (Free/cheap!) on keyboardist Thighpaulsandra's web site.

#30DaySongChallenge Day 22 A song that moves you forward.
Hmmm. Not sure how much this differs from a song to drive to, a song I never get tired of, a song that needs to be played loud, a song from my preteen years, and a song from the 70s.
That said, I'm sharing this rocker for today's prompt even though Television's Ain't That Nothing is a multi-category banger...

#30DaySongChallenge Day 19 A song that makes you think about life.
Gracious. Life is a big category of things for a song to make you think about...

Happy 81st Sir Paul McCartney!
Two or three days after we met, best beloved and I saw him perform in Prague. I was hoping When I'm 64 would be in the set list, but he was only 61. That said, the entire show (with an astounding set list - all hits, no filler) we saw is here:

#NowPlaying I'm one of the lucky / blessed ones right now with my employment situation, so the title of this track is not a commentary on my *personal* work situation. That said, Bosses Hang (and pretty much the entire #GodspeedYouBlackEmperor oeuvre) is fantastic.

#NowPlaying Godspeed You! Black Emperor's most recent long player, G-d's Pee AT STATE'S END.
Still brilliant.
While there's much merit in the band's early work, the four albums they've released since regrouping for 2012's 'Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend! have been masterpieces to a one.
Here, have a 19-minute live version of Fire at Static Valley... https://youtu.be/JnpOphny6-Y

#chrisforsyth at The Chapel. Can’t do much better. #sanfrancisco #music #musodon #livemusicisbetter warning: mastodon compresses the hell out of videos. Sound is not representative of what actually went down.
