Yesterday was my wife’s birthday. Our dear friend Debbie did us the huge favor of hosting and organizing the birthday party. It was a special relief knowing it was handled when the whole family got ill with Covid a few weeks before the party. So, I made this charcuterie board for our friend, Debbie. We replaced our carpet a couple weeks ago and after hauling the junky ikea desk our of the corner of our master bedroom, i opted to never haul it back in… instead i’m building a small simple #liveedge computer desk to replace it. no fancy epoxy or leds or whatever, just slab and some black powder coated legs from #rustydesigns out east… and a lot of elbow grease!

Just found out that when our local provincial parks cut trees to maintain paths, they cut them in slabs and auction entire log on govt auctions site. Money made goes back into conservation efforts. Currently bidding on couple of ash and black cherry logs…….
This could get seriously expensive 😬
