Forschende des Projekts #LastSeen | Freie Universität Berlin und KZ-Gedenkstätte Neuengamme / Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial konnten drei Fotografien identifizieren. Sie zeigen die Verschleppung von über 1.000 jüdischen Hamburger:innen ins Ghetto Litzmannstadt im Oktober 1941.

My article about #DVL: Deutsche Volksliste in the region #Lodz (#Litzmannstadt) has been translated into English and is available on the website of Przegląd Zachodni.
What was DVL? The biggest citizenship schema during WW2 and probably in the whole modern Germany history. Citizens of prewar Poland lost (or never had) a German citizenship, the DVL allowed them to get it and the privileges of German "Herrenvolk", even if in name only.
