  1. #BangorME woman creates a free #SeedlingLibrary to help gardeners and find community

by Elizabeth Walztoni April 26, 2026

"The wooden box on a post outside Amanda Moscone’s Bangor home looks like most little free libraries, where people typically take or leave books

"But opening the door reveals shelves of greenery instead: potted houseplants, cuttings and propagated leaves. A smaller box below it holds free vegetable seed packets and pots."

  2. The #Clarion lists every #bookshop in #Oxford, including a new one in the Golden Cross passage which I hadn't spotted yet:

oh and a couple of #littleLibraries too.

  3. It’s +9.5C in the East End of #Toronto, the Sun is shining, and the snow is melting. Time to get out walking, raiding #littlelibraries and finding surprising #books in them … #Ethics #AlainBadiou

  4. Flame ombré lettering! Dramatic rescues from ice holes! Sinister old men and gun-toting baddies, mountaintop gondolas and explosions! Now that’s what I call an exciting book cover. From 1983. #littlelibraries #adventure #bookstodon

  5. First edition of BC author Jane Rule’s “The Young in One Another’s Arms” (1977). Despite its suggestive title and its distinction as an early lesbian novel, with characters on the run from serving in the war in Vietnam, the cover is so so so boring. Some people find the novel boring as well. #littlelibraries #sapphicbooks #canlit

  6. Someone in the neighborhood must have had a serious collection of classic books about early women doctors, because I see books like this one turn up regularly in the #littlelibraries. Judging from photos, the real Dr Emily Dunning Barringer didn’t have such a magnificent pompadour. Sad that they left Dr Barringer’s hard-earned title out of the book title. Fuck the patriarchy. #medhistory #womensbiographies

  7. Reportedly, Sicilian Carousel is one of Durrell’s more boring books. At least the cover is exciting! I love the pink wheel against the lime green field, and the bright yellow accents. From 1977. The #littlelibraries around me are always filled with Durrell books. #bookcover #Books #travelbooks #sicily

  8. I was disappointed in the paucity of pictures in this pictorial Persian dictionary. That’s why I still don’t know Farsi. #dictionary #littlelibraries
