This would definitely have caught my attention as a young man. It catches my attention now. There are a lot of images of nearly nude women with snakes and I think we all know why. This one, she has a small sword or large knife, Jesus, and is the snake friend or foe? I'm riveted. How does her top stay on?
She seems to command respect and the story is written by a woman so there's a chance it isn't a total recreation of patriarchal cliches but idk. It's a chance. I'm reading a book about how our society has always recreated the easiest path for the sake of profit, which in turn recreates the profit driven system, etc. etc.
So now if you're smart you get to enjoy irony and if you're dumb you get to look at boobs and we're all still stuck working for the man. Didn't really expect this to become an /unsophisticated/ rant but I'm posting it 😂
