CW: Financial and physical ouch expected
Not a welcome Christmas present - not welcome at any time - failed roadworthy ‘cos steering bearings are shot. Geordie passed its annual physical only a couple of months ago though! (That’s not on the check list)
Glad it was caught before any accident. But this does mean I now need to walk to physio tomorrow - about 3 months sooner than the training plan. And walk back home. Eeep.
Will take it slowly, and clear the calendar for several days.

CW: Health question - lymphedema
Wrestled myself into compression again today. Does high levels of anger and frustration affect (trigger) lymphedema?
I normally have pure lipedema - no pitting or water storage - and compression doesn’t help with that. This is the first return of lymph swelling since my cancer ops and stopping Visanne.

I have a women's health issue that 11% of women have called #lipedema This is fat (mostly legs but not exclusively) that is 100% resistant to diet and exercise.The Inflation Reduction Act enabled me to get an intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) pump through my health insurance.
Lipedema is progressive, knowing you have it is the first step. At this time only vascular doctors are trained to diagnose lipedema.

I am putting this out there because I have #Lipedema, diagnosed 9 years ago. My calves ate most affected.
No doctors in Maryland treat lipedema. As of now, a vascular surgeon is the only way to get diagnosed.
The #InflationReductionAct, passed in Dec, 2022, requires Medicare to treat lymphedema.

#Lipedema, which almost exclusively effects women, is fat that's completely resistant to diet and exercise, primarily occurring in the lower body but not necessarily. Arms are commonly involved. It is progressive and potentially debilitating.11% of women have this "condition?". It is rarely treated in the US, although it was first described by the #MAYO clinic in 1940. WAL liposuction has been performed with great success in pain relief.

CW: Sewing progress
I think I put off sewing because I know I'll have to alter patterns massively, and that scares me.
The Jalie yoga pants pattern needs an extra 20cm of fabric at the centre back to cover my bum and avoid a massive tradie crevasse, the waistband is attached.
An extra 5-8cm in the thighs would be more comfy too.
I'll have to re-work the pattern to include more fabric for next time.
Lipedema figure is hard to fit.

GO TO THE THING! You don't need to be in a wheelchair to get Accessible Seating! I cried in pain through Lizzo's show in expensive TINY seats. So when I went to see JVN this month I bought the Accessible Seats! REAL CHAIRS that I fit in. That didn't kill my knees or bruise my hips. Having Lipedema, I've been in agony at events for years. Could I be the first post on #lipedema on this wooly mammoth? It’s a connective tissue disorder/disease that results in permanent, painful and progressive fibrotic fat that deposits most often in the hips and legs abut can grow anywhere. It sucks.
