Kleines Update: Drucker lief direkt ohne Probleme.
Für den Laser habe ich, nach langer Suche, eine inoffizielle Software-Version der Original-Entwickler*innen in einem Reddit-Post gefunden. (Was für ein Glück!)Für den Plotter werde ich leider zu Windows rüber müssen. Da geht gar nichts.
Und den Labeldrucker werde ich durch einen neuen ersetzen und den alten verkaufen.
Jedenfalls alles gar nicht so einfach. :/

Heute wieder so ein "Linux auf dem Desktop ist einfach nur genial"-Moment, mit einer eigentlich unbedeutenden Kleinigkeit (die mich aber optimal unterstützt):
Launcher (Panellauncher / Starter / Anwendungssymbole) lassen sich auf der Leiste (Panel) individuell gruppieren, z. B. nach Thema oder Usecase. Das fördert die Übersichtlichkeit, schafft Platz, vereinfacht und beschleunigt die Nutzung.

I’ve been using Windows for years—it always “just worked” for me.
But in 2026, I kept hearing the same thing everywhere: Linux is faster, more private, and gives you more control. So I decided to test it myself.
I switched to Linux and used it as my main OS for 30 days.

There's a deep, ancient difference between Windows, Mac and Linux that people rarely seem to name, which also explains why Package Managers exist: DLL Hell. This explains the Windows SideBySide config, and Linux's Package Managers
