@the this keyboard ability, is something I've not yet seen in OS reviews but as I consider which distribution(s) to get, it's definitely a sizable factor, because even as I'm fine for now in using a mouse, I don't know how long-term I'll maintain that status, as my spinal derived neuropathy slowly progresses.

This is also the mainstay of why I'll be sure to have a full keyboard, to include the F keys, toggle & numeric keypad, because that should maintain my ability to use computers better long-term.

*My best guess is that I'll be fine for another 5, maybe 10 years but after that it's going to be questionable.

Skift Windows ud med Linux, men hvilket? Nu har jeg brugt Ubuntu/Debian based linux en hel del, især som små lxc/docker container, men også VMs. Kører forskellige små server/programmer i proxmox. Er dog ikke expert i linux.
Bærbar PC: AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS CPU, GF RTX 4060 GPU. 16gb ddr5 ram.
Men skal det være ren Ubuntu, eller mint eller pop-os eller et helt fjerde?
Pakkemanager(apt), er den jeg kender bedst. Stabilt OS og updates er vigtigt. Skal kunne køre en Windows VM under linux

Found a little bug with Fedora42, I can't set the brightness in Gnome unless i do it manually with brightnessctl then .. the sidebar shows up like magic

I need advice on this. I'm going down the #buildroot route but I cannot get the kernel to boot on my machine. On Limine it hangs on a black screen.

Should I be doing something different? Should I not use Buildroot? What's your advice on this?
