Brax open_slate hits Indiegogo for $469 and up (open source, privacy-focused tablet)
After launching a privacy-focused smartphone called the Brax3 a few years ago, Brax Technologies is expanding its hardware lineup with a new tablet called the open_slate. It’s a tablet that puts privacy and user choice front and center, with features like hardware kill switches, support for multiple operating systems, and a user-replaceable battery and storage, among other things.
Brax […]

Brax open_slate is a privacy-focused tablet with Ubuntu and de-Googled Android support (crowdfunding)
The open_slate is an upcoming tablet with a 12 inch, 2.4K IPS LCD display, a MediaTek Genio 720 processor and support for up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
But what makes it unlike most tablets on the market is that it’s designed to run open source software, has hardware kill switches to help protect your privacy, and some replaceable components including a removable battery and […]

@rye maybe the Starlite.

This article reviewed a range of Linux tablets and as above the Starlite seemed the highest spec.

Went and got myself a new tablet in the form of a Latitude 7275. The screen is the first thing that stood out, it's bright and the viewing angle is fabulous. I might write a longer review later, once I've become more antiquated with it. Otherwise I'm quiet pleased with it on this note.

Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with it, but I would be very interested in any experiences with the #Fydetab Duo too.

Stylus with palm rejection works out of the box (thanks to built-in Wacom support). Only thing that doesn't work is the SIM reader, which always says "no SIM". I've tried it all, but this Intel LTE modem won't work 😬 #linux #linuxtablet

#LinuxMobile #linuxtablet

Pine64’s RISC-V tablet now ships with a Debian-based Linux distro and improved hardware
The PineTab-V is a 10.1 inch tablet with a 1280 x 800 pixel IPS LCD display, 8GB of LPDDR4 memory, 128GB of eMMC storage, and a detachable keyboard with backlit keys.
What really makes it different from most tablets though is that it’s powered by a RISC-V processor rather than an ARM or x86 chip. Pine64 began selling the tablet to developers and early adopters in 2023, and now the company […]

I’ve been using a Lenovo Yoga for my 2-in-1 Linux computer duties. But now I have another, possibly better option. Don’t get me wrong—my Lenovo has been working great!! But ultra-repairability, and ultra-upgradability has some nice advantages! I’ll be watching this one closely! 🙂

I'm currently drafting up a review for an ARM based Linux tablet. I'm wondering what people care about the most when buying a tablet? Let me know.

Juno Tab 3 is an overpriced Linux tablet with an Intel N100 processor and 12GB RAM
The Juno Tab 3 is a tablet with a 12.1 inch, 2160 x 1440 pixel, 330 nit IPS LCD display, 12GB of LPDDR5-4800 memory, and an M.2 2242 SATA III SSD with at least 512GB of storage. It’s powered by a 6-watt Intel N100 quad-core processor based on Intel Alder Lake-N architecture.
What sets it apart from most tablets with those sorts of specs that this isn’t a Windows, Android , or ChromeOS […]

Using a decommissioned work laptop to install @EndeavourOS to see what a Linux foldable laptop would be like. I like the idea of it replacing my tablet, which is a Huawei and is now about 4 (5?) years without update.
If it is a good replacement, I can look at finding a cheapish foldable laptop (this work one is a Dell 5290 2 in 1) online and finally retire the excellent but now flawed Huawei.

I really want to get Starlite tablet because I think a linux based tablet would be absolute bitchin'.
I want one, but will I ever breakdown and get one...IN THIS ECONOMY?!

Lichee Pad Max 4A is a 14 inch RISC-V tablet with a detachable keyboard (and removable processor-on-a-module)
The Lichee Pad Max 4A is a 2-in-1 tablet with a 14 inch, 2240 x 1400 pixel display, a detachable keyboard, and support for Debian Linux software.
It’s also one of the only devices in this category powered by a RISC-V processor, thanks to a Sipeed LM4A module with a T-Head TH1520 quad-core RISC-V processor. The Lichee Pad Max 4A is one of the latest in a line of […]https://liliputing.com/?p=164938
