💻 Linktree : je me barre, pourquoi ?

Je ne rentre pas dans les détails des petites protections qu'on a encore en Europe. Cependant, ces protections restent précaires, attaquées par des lobbys aux moyens énormes.

Si vous connaissez des site web sympas qui proposent ce genre de services sans IA et sans bouffer trop de cookies n'hésite pas à partager les bon plans !

Apparemment #Linktree va balancer les infos et contenus chargés par les utilisateur'ices à OpenAi (via Dall-E pour des fonctionnalités que personnes n'a demandées). À partir de début juillet d'après un changement dans les CGU.

Je suis bien content de ne plus utiliser ce truc et de ne pas utiliser de plate-formes qui risquent de se faire bouffer/pourrir de la même manière, dans l'immédiat.

PAR CONTRE je me dis qu'il va vraiment falloir qu'on mette en place des outils, des réseaux, des aides pour permettre aux artistes, artisan'nes (et toutes les personnes qui ont un besoin pro d'internet) pour auto héberger nos plate-formes. A l' heure des IA, des crypto fachos et Cie, ça devient nécessaire.

(Et nan les blogs obscurs de linuxiens développeurs qui insultent les interfaces modernes et pensent que la pédagogie c'est la porte ouverte vers les gafam, ça ne compte pas)

Not sure why I have a #Linktree page when my website can fulfill the same job. So, I've emptied out my account (not deleted to hold the name) and created a new, basic links page at https://fiets.uk/links.

We should all probably stop outsourcing our web presence and go back to running individual websites.

Thank goodness I deleted my #Linktree account last year.

I initially had a Linktree as a way to organise my music and social media links before making my own website. When I made my website years later, I can now fully customise where and how my links displayed, so I deleted my Linktree account.

Now, Linktree joined the depressingly growing list of "we will train "AI" models on your data" companies.

how can I delete #LinkTree? It’s such a useless and stupid app.

Fuck #Linktree and their so-called "community standards", fuck whoever reported me (drive-by griefer who couldn't just block me and move on? assholes who have been phishing me for the last two months? ), and fuck me for not changing the email associated with that account... nah, actually I'm fine with not knowing how to "appeal" their stupid decision.

Point your phone camera here or read the alt text or whatever then pick whatever address suits you and write to me or watch me being an asshole in other places. That's all there is to it.
