Lindy Cats Festival 2025

This edition of the Lindy Cats festival is going to be as cosy and focused on social dancing as our last festivals.
But we‘ll have an exciting twist prepared for you: open classes to give more individual space for growing as dancers, opportunities to explore the afro-american heritage of swing dances, as well as time to share knowledge, ideas and love!
4 levels of Lindy Hop (Easy, Hard, Challenge, Invitational) & open classes...

Wir laden alle Menschen ein, tanzend mit uns die Sommerferien zu begrüßen.
Programm:
18-19 Uhr: Lindy Hop Workshop mit den Lindy Cats
Lindy Hop ist ein lebhafter Paartanz aus den 1930er-Jahren, der zu Swingmusik getanzt wird. Er ist fröhlich, improvisiert und kombiniert schnelle Schritte mit Drehungen und Sprüngen. Für alle Menschen mit oder ohne Tanzpartner*in.
19:30-21:30 Uhr: Live Musik mit der Hummingbirds Swing Band
Die Hummingbirds Swing Band aus Graz ist eine energiegeladene Formation, die seit 2019 mit ihrem mitreißenden Swing-Sound begeistert. Ihr Repertoire umfasst Jazzstandards, französische Chansons und moderne Swing-Titel, die sie mit viel Improvisationsfreude und einem frischen, tanzbaren Stil präsentieren.
