Because there where only two more performances of L’incoronazione die Poppea, with only a couple of tickets left for the next one on May 23rd, and about 50 remaining for the final performance on June 12th, we added another performance on June 11th!

Three of my seven costumes for L’incoronazione di Poppea, designed by the fabulously talented Alfred Mayerhofer! Unfortunately, I failed to show the black Ottavia dress, because I absolutely just had to listen to Pur ti miro on the monitors!

Tonight is the first of 2 additional performances of L'incoronazione di Poppea that we added due to high demand. It looks like it might break our streak of sold-out performances. 🥺 So if you’d like to come tonight, there are still tickets available! 🥳
The next show on May 23rd is nearly sold out, fewer than ten tickets left. That was originally supposed to be the last, but we added one more on June 12. And that will definitely be the last one!

Translating L'incoronazione di Poppea right now, and it is very raunchy!
I thought Mozart/Da Ponte were naughty, but they didn't come close to Monteverdi/Busenello. -
I also get to sing Ottavia & Drusilla (& Virtù) in L’incoronazione di Poppea, which will be my first time singing pre-Baroque music. Letters to Fred will be performed twice for Holocaust Remembrance day at Landestheater Detmold and Theater Hagen, I’m thrilled to be working with these theaters!
I hope that Letters to Fred will continue each year. Thanks to Jo Herzberg for trusting me with her dad’s letters.
