2. It falls back to websockets so you can still use it while offline for the local network.Don’t get me started on #Limewire.

A better alternative to duckduckgo #searx .
new images are now about 400MB instead of 1.3-2GB because of enhanced packaging. And they are multi-arch!
With docker you can run YaCy simply with:
docker run -d -p 8090:8090 yacy/yacy_search_server:latestP2P technologies and P2P search engines are more sustainable and fault-tolerant than centralized cloud or VPS-based systems because they distribute data and processing across many independent nodes rather than relying on a single or limited set of servers. This decentralization reduces energy consumption by leveraging existing resources on users' devices instead of massive data centers that require constant cooling and power. NBC News: LimeWire acquires Fyre Festival, asking ‘What Could Possibly Go Wrong?’. “LimeWire, the filesharing service that set the internet ablaze in the 2000s before being shut down for copyright infringement, said Tuesday that is acquiring the rights to Fyre Festival. And it appreciates the irony.”

A little update on the Fyre Festival Fiasco.
After the original Fyre festival fell apart, organiser Billy McFarland served four years for fraud. Fresh out of jail, Billy unveiled "Fyre Festival 2" which promptly flopped and was "indefinitely postponed".
So Billy auctioned the Fyre Festival brand, including its "trademarks, IP, digital assets, media reach, and cultural capital" (sic!).
A company called LimeWire paid $245,300 for the package. This is not the early 2000s file-sharing LimeWire but another outfit which bought the original brand and turned it into a marketplace for NFTs.
So a cryptobro company which sells NFTs bought the rights to a festival which is synonymous with bad organisation.
Serves them right.
