Turns out a #Lilygo #TLoraPager with the better #LR1121 module (instead of the #SX1262) can’t run #MeshOS as the module isn’t supported. And #Ripple doesn’t work either as there’s a bug with sending out ACKs. So, no #MeshCore for it at the moment.

Wanted to update the firmware from Linux.

I managed using chromium and https://flasher.meshtastic.org/, but not until I restarted while holding down the scroll button, and running sudo setfacl -m u:avuko:rw /dev/ttyACM0.

Took me a blessed search to figure out this incantation, so this is my documentation.

sooo this weekend I finally flashed #Meshtastic onto the #pager 🙌

HOT TIP, when they say "check that your cable isn't power-only", THERE'S A REASON THEY SAY THAT. if it doesn't work, check your cable.. swap it out.. try a different one... Ask me how I know 🙃

Anyway, once that was done, I was shocked to find that I was able to see 4-8 nodes online at any given point!

There's still SO much I don't know, but this is a fun little starter device IMHO.
