My new keeb arrived yesterday. I've had to fiddle around with the key layout a bit (it wanted backspace to be on the right hand under M key) and a few others, but I'll get it working.

Vial.rocks doesn't seem to want to work, but the app does. Its less intuitive than ZSA's Oryx, but I'm sure I'll work it out. Need to get used to no tenting though 😬

Недавно я опубликовал здесь статью о беспроводной сплит-клавиатуре Sofle RGB Wireless. В целом, с ней все хорошо: работает, глюков нет, за исключением мелочей. Единственное — мне все же больше нравятся низкопрофильные клавиатуры. Это я понял, когда через пару дней работы на Sofle RGB вернулся к Lily58 Pro. Настолько я привык к ней, что отвыкать оказалось сложно. Но по возвращении меня стала раздражать одна вещь — провода. Кабель к компьютеру и шнур между половинками работали безотказно, но, во-первых, это лишние элементы на столе. Во-вторых, это причина ограниченной мобильности. Переставить ноутбук, подключить второй ПК, разнести половинки шире — и снова приходится вспоминать о длине кабеля. Короче, я решил ее сделать беспроводной. Забегая наперед скажу, что все получилось. Эта статья, к слову, написана посредством Lily58 Pro. Но было много всего интересного, о чем расскажу под катом. Поехали!

Проблем ни разу не было за целых пять лет. Единственный минус — она проводная, кабелем половинки соединены друг с другом, а потом и сама клавиатура с ПК. Кабель не то чтобы сильно мешает, но все равно хочется полной беспроводности. И вот недавно на Wallapop увидел объявление о готовой Sofle RGB Wireless — с подсветкой, энкодерами и без единого провода. Цена показалась адекватной, связался с продавцом, забрал. Теперь она у меня на столе, я поработал с ней несколько недель и готов поделиться впечатлениями: что это за клавиатура, как собирается и как ощущается в работе.

Couldn't figure out how to use a local zmk-config directory so I just modified the default keymap to suit my needs and then I proceeded to do more changes in #ZMKStudio 😂

It would be nice to be able to export nice PNG, jpeg or pdfs of the cool new layouts, maybe even get a layout from a list of GitHub repos and so on

I have my beloved lily58 back up and running thanks to a replacement pcb/micro-controller. Many thanks to all who gave me troubleshooting pointers. I think it was a defective micro-controller all along.

My digits are confused but happy to be back to column staggered!
