My itty bitty little baby #lilacs.
Its going to be a while before we get flowers
But they were free (offshoots from my aunt’s plants) and they survived the winter and I love them 💜

Spring continues to make progress at my house. There are the beginnings of blossoms on the lilac bush, getting ready for full unveiling in a week or so, if we get more sunny weather. And the red maple tree has the teeniest little cute baby leaves and wee helicopter samaras.

Lilacs, pt 1.
The lilac bushes in the local community garden have been trimmed back this year, which makes me a bit sad as I can only see them behind bars when I pass by. I hope they’ll be allowed to spill over the fence in the future, as they used to do.
