Ah, yes, hot shower means I now need 3 glasses of juice and half a box of biscuits just before bed...

Sigh. This #CGM sensor is just jumping back and forth, making calibration attempts pointless. I wonder if that's enough grounds for warranty replacement...
#LifeWithDiabetes -
Sigh, second in a row #Dexcom #CGM sensor dead at 8.5 days instead of the official 10.5 days, and I'm out, currently waiting for delivery and I thought I still had a couple of days for that...

CW: mh-, #diabetes
My time isn't really mine.
Oh, you managed to steel yourself and are about to drag yourself out for a walk? Gee, that's nice, but despite eating a bunch and not taking nearly enough insulin for that, BG is going to trend down, so, yeah, good luck with that.
Oh, you want to chill and do stuff then? Ha ha ha ha 📈 you get your ass out there. -
Aaaaaarghhhhhh
My main phone, after system update from Android 13 to 15, decided to stop getting data from my #CGM. Well, I have an old (android 9 😬) phone in drawer, for now it will work for #xDrip, even though it's too old to install current #AndroidAPS on...
Well, guess what, even though both xDrip and the Bluetooth app (did you even know your system had one?) are excluded from battery optimization, it now also decided that I don't need data from the sensor 💀
#LifeWithDiabetes -
Welp. #AndroidAPS now contains code generated by #Claude

My spoons/marbles/spell slots today/this week have been largely consumed by "my phone decided to stop being compatible with stuff helping keep me alive".
-
Sigh. Debugging sensor connectivity issues (the one in my arm, helping keep me alive).
Change a setting.
Wait 5 minutes for another attempt to communicate with sensor.
Change a setting.
Wait 5 minutes.
Change a setting.
Reboot.
Wait 10 minutes, because after reboot first time communication will work. (unless the reboot caused you to miss the communications moment, in which case wait another 5 minutes).
And so on... -
Well, I'm glad I waited with upgrading phone to Android 15 until weekend, because now it's a dance and seeing what options to adjust, if any, to make xdrip actually keep getting the data from my #CGM sensor 💀
-
I'm using the "opportunity" of a failed pump to remind myself what life on injections is like (for one, it's *much* easier logistically when e.g. travelling, camping). And the thing that's currently weirdest for me is not having to dance around the connected pump when dressing or undressing.

Ah, yes, the very beginning of weekend is the *perfect* time for my insulin pump to fall apart.
You know, the thing giving me insulin, without which I'm dead in at most days.

The Warm Days are here, so I guess by now the experiment is conclusive: mixing 1:1 #insulin #FIASP with something else (in my case, liprolog) still gives you faster action, but generally no site blockages during the 3-4 days I keep the site and tubing. Pure fiasp could result in a blockage within 48 hours.

Hm, sender seems to be working fine, yet the receiving end acts as if nothing was reaching it... So either it's transmission issue somewhere along the way, or something is wrong at the receiving end, I guess it would be with processing...
Oh, it's just me dealing with #diabetes and figuring out whether it's my #InsulinPump that's the issue, the infusion site, or whether for whatever reason my body decided to forget what it should do with the #insulin.

I spent 7-8h (including waiting, travel) *this week* trying to get my diabetes supplies.
I don't have them yet, and I don't have the prescriptions for them yet either, because the doctor I just saw couldn't get into the central system to get them for me, and will do so later.
And *then* I can start working on getting the actual physical items, from multiple locations, taking into consideration their opening times.
My last sensor runs out in a bit over one hour.

"so what's your TDD?" (Total Daily Dosage, amount of #insulin you use per day) someone may ask. Generally expecting a single number.
**WITHIN LAST WEEK** I have a day with 17.2 U and a day with 43.6 U. -
Well, good news. After the previous #CGM sensor (the one that absolutely refused to talk to my phone) expired, this new one happily connected and is sending data.
#Computers 🤷

XDrip+ on my phone refuses to talk to this particular sensor, even though it previously talked just fine to many just like it.
I was allowed to use SO's phone to try the official app, since it's on the list of supported devices. It works just fine.
I just tried xdrip on that phone. It also works just fine.

Aaaaaarghhhh
New sensor (sent as a replacement for failed one). Xdrip on my phone refuses to connect to it, #Dexcom ONE+ app on borrowed and actually supported by them phone connected and shows data 💀
Isn't #technology wonderful?
#diabetes #t1d #LifeWithDiabetes -
Ah, yes, when in one position in bed you snore, so you get poked for that, but in all the others you put pressure on your #CGM sensor, so you get woken up every half an hour by an alert about hypoglycemia.
