The new ribbons arrived two hours ago. Oh God, they're so wet. But that's a good thing... they can ventilate while I soak the type levers with the cleaning agent for the last time over 2-3 days.
The longer I work on this typewriter, the more I like the rather rare typeface of this machine. 🤩😁

"HEY YOU!" 😁
A few of you may remember: Some time ago I wrote about the mechanical travel typewriter that I got back then... Today I've come a little further with the repairs - and take a look at the wonderfully curved font!
While I'm now waiting for the new ribbon, I'll finish cleaning the machine, not just the top of the case, but also and above all the types (esp. 'a' & 'o') and the associated key levers.
I really can't wait to finally use the good old lady regularly - for personal letters and stuff like that. 🥰 When the time comes, I'll write another final update. 😉

"My new Pretty!"
May I introduce:
Grundig (Triumph Adler) Tippa S, built around 1962 - 1964.
Got my 'new' (😋) mechanical typewriter working today! I got it from an estate dissolution where the machine slept in the basement for more than 30 years.
Last night I rusted out the type levers and adjusted the key retrieval. New ink ribbons have already been ordered.
If the machine then work so far, I will continue to unrust it next week and clean the paper roller. Afterwards I want to use this wonderful piece every day. Like it's predecessor, an old Annabella.

"Print, Baby, print!"
Once again I have come a little closer to my goal of banning as much computer junk as possible from the desktop and putting analog devices in place. Or at least some without USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other things I don’t need in my world.
Recently my mother-in-law found an old Brother P-Touch 200 thermal label printer in her basement. It's so old that it was actually made in Japan! 😁
Print, Baby, print! 🤭
I repaired it a few days ago and today the ribbon cassettes ordered via #AliExpress finally arrived. In short: everything works perfectly again. 🤩

"A new Toy for old Men! 😁
Last week I received this analog camcorder as a gift. Today's evening I brought the pretty, 30 years old lady (built 02/95) back to life:
The camera has only been used a few times over the years and I didn't even have to clean the head drum. I just regenerated the grease of the capstan bearing and adjusted the tape transport a bit.
Now I just have to dust it off a bit, then it'll actually be like new again. I'm looking forward to using the camera extensively at the harbor in spring and summer... 🤩😍
