The long way to the #autobiography: between the completely handwritten manuscript of FRANZ EFFENBERGER (first picture) and the result of the printed book https://l-i-c.org/1130 (last picture) were many working meetings in Stuttgart, letters, and hundreds of e-mails. Chemical education expert Peter Menzel, Univ. Hohenheim, supported the author in the realization of the manuscript and also in the organization of the wonderful book launch event in Stuttgart.

Born in 1943 in Chicago, he had joined the newly founded Faculty of Chemistry @UCIrvine in 1971. It became his homebase for more than 50 years until his retirement as Distinguished Professor of Chemistry, Emeritus. Larry is most known for the Overman #rearrangement.
