  2. DIY: создание новых компнентов в LibrePCB

    При создании плат в той или иной программе периодически приходится использовать какие-то компоненты, которых нет в стандартном пакете: какой-нибудь разъем необычного размера, готовый модуль и т.д. Сам пользуюсь сейчас LibrePCB, и вот в комментариях видел вопрос: а где брать компоненты для LibrePCB, если их там не нашлось? Создать, конечно! Создание нового компонента только на первый взгляд кажется сложным. но на самом деле всё довольно просто, если понять логику, как это там делается. Например, нужно создать компонент модуля понижения напряжения DCDC:

  3. @gerotakke I totally get it.

    I have the same problem with PCBs. My first three projects are in JLCPCB’s EasyEDA, because it was quicker to get started. It’s nice, but it’s not awesome either. I want to get them out of there to regain control, but for that I need to learn #KiCAD, and I don’t know whether it’s going to be frustrating. There’s also #LibrePCB, which is nice, but I’m not sure whether it’s going to become too limited.

    At least simple PCBs like mine are easy to redo from scratch.

    Because i'm just looking for a #PCB design software like #eagle or #KiCAD
    i found #LibrePCB and installed the AppImage to check it out.
    Before i can say more, i will test it and try to make a little project, but the first impression is quite positive.

  19. And yesterday I've ordered by very first PCB!

    a trivial one that I could have easily done with wires on perfboard (actually, a variation of one I've done a few times on perfboard), if I had not been out of the right size of perfboard and not wanting to bother with cutting a bigger one down to size :D

    but I have wanted to try my hand at that for some time, but was somewhat intimidated by the whole thing, and as usual doing it in anger is good at overcoming intimidation :D

    anyway, the point of this post is to say thank you to #librePCB for making the whole process quite smooth and to @federico3 for maintaining it in debian :D

  23. Great news: The project receives a second grant from the NGI0 Commons Fund!

    The goal of the next year will be to work on LibrePCB 2.0. Planned key updates include schematic buses, KiCad library import, interactive HTML BOM, and several other features.

    Additionally, we are planning to slowly move from C++ towards . Right now, we are experimenting with a rewrite of the complete UI using the Slint framework.

  30. Hat schonmal jemand von euch mit #LibrePCB einen Schaltplan erstellt und ICs verwendet die nicht in den Bibliotheken vorhanden sind?

    Bei dem Umfang der dort bisher drin ist scheint mir das ein offensichtlicher UseCase, aber ich sehe nicht wie ich das am einfachsten machen kann...
