Prima ho compilato il modulo per le detrazioni (pdf) per lavoratori dipendenti e ho prima provato a farlo con Draw ma era tutto spaginato, per cui ho provato con Xournal++ con il quale sono riuscito senza problemi.

I used #LibreOfficeDraw today for editing text in a #PDF.

And it just worked? Didnt corrupt the PDF like in the past, worked just fine! Only free software on Linux to do that afaik, happy to have it!

@libreoffice So I'm using LibreOffice 25.8.2.2 on Fedora Workstation 43 GNOME 49.
For some privacy reasons I'll not be able to attach the entire PDF. However, I can show the page 15 that I was trying to open using LibreOffice Draw in image form.

It contains a combination of Bengali & English language and numerals.

I have been using LibreOffice at work, especially Calc and Draw. I started using Draw as a replacement for Visio for creating Specification Sheets for new products.

Works rather well overall, although I've had to do a bit creative research for figuring out a few odd quirks, and diagramming tricky products.

But overall, it has done a fine job, and I'll keep at it.

I have so much respect for the LibreOffice project.

Now that I know that LibreOffice Draw opens Visio files, I've tested and have been migrating my Visio docs to LibreOffice Draw. I'm about 75% complete.

If anyone wants to do this, my recommendation is to first save the document to "Visio 2003 -2010" format from inside Visio, then open the new document in LibreOffice Draw. It opens very reliably. I've had minor issues on only a few.

Also, to have an accurate scale when opening a Visio file in Draw ...

Scale does not transfer over. But its very easy to add.

Visio creates a scale like...
0.125 = 1 Ft.

When opening the Visio file in Draw, just setup the scale in Draw to be...
1 = 96

Both examples above represent the same scale.

So recently I was pleased (and a bit surprised) to find that LibreOffice Draw opens Visio files NATIVELY! Are you kidding me?

Everything seems to look identical. Objects are joined that should, colours are fairly faithful.

What a great feature! And it's not exactly promoted very well, so that is why I am writing this.

I'll post a few screenshots comparing a document in Visio to a document in LibreOffice Draw in the next day or two.

I've been a fan of Visio since the Visio Technical days before Microsoft purchased and neglected it.

I've used it for things like accurately drawing home renovations, yard designs, and extensive factory layout designs (for nearly my entire career).

So I've been looking to export all my old projects for quite some time. Normally this means I try to export to AutoCAD from within Visio, or export to another format like svg.

And recently I found out that LibreOffice Draw opens Visio files directly! Cool. I hope they keep that development going. Maybe add some technical/architectural features.

For now, I've found a solution: with #LibreOfficeDraw I can delete the sections directly and then save them again as a #PDF. It's a bit more laborious, but it delivers the desired result.

Fürs Erste habe ich eine Möglichkeit gefunden: mit #LibreOfficeDraw kann ich direkt die Stellen löschen und dann neu als #PDF speichern. Ist zwar etwas mühseliger, aber liefert das gewünschte Ergebnis.

Je saisis l'occasion d'utiliser #LibreOfficeDraw pour mettre au propre et rationaliser mon obsession pour les (petites et pas chères) pédales de guitare électrique et leur disposition sur des pedalboards. Bah c'est plutôt simple et facile :)

Question existentielle : avec ou sans pédale d'accordage ? (Avec, c'est mieux, sans, ça libère une place pour une énième pédale d'effet...)

I think #Libreofficedraw is a little bit underestimated, but when you take patience and time, it can be very useful to edit pdfs. #LibreOffice

Why is it so difficult to have #libreofficedraw on #macos place an object where the user intended it to go? Systematically, any #line, #polyline, #Bezier curve, etc, gets started at a distance away from where the cursor was pointing on the canvas, even with snap to grid off. Annoying #regression with #libreofficedraw that has been around since 6.x, has continued into 7.x, and makes using #libreofficedraw particularly painful for any professional work.
