Ich habe gerade mal meine #Festplatten Kapazitäten (#M2, #SSD, #HD, 2,5", 3,5", intern, extern) hier zusammengezählt. Auf #Proxmox (#Homeserver mit #Homeassistant und #TrueNAS), #Backup #Server, #Libreelec #Mediacenter mit #Kodi und #TVHeadend, #VuPlus, 3 #Notebooks und offline Backup-Festplatten im Schrank: ~ 92 TB
Dazu kommen dann noch 2 TB im Netz (#rootServer, #Webspace), 1,5 TB auf #Smartphones und #Tablets und ~ 1,5 TB #USBSticks und #MicroSD Karten und wahrscheinlich vergessenes 🤔🫣🤪
Ich muss da immer wieder an den Kauf meines ersten #PC denken: Damals waren 105 MB Festplatte für #DOS und #Windows Standard. Ich habe eine gigantische 170 MB (ja, Megabyte, das ist KEIN Tippfehler) Platte genommen und damals dachten wirklich noch alle, dass man die nie voll bekommt 🤣🤣🤣
Heute belegt ein nacktes, frisch installiertes #Windows 11 schon knapp das 150-fache 🤦 -
I had hoped to fly my drone today, but with overcast weather and relatively high wind, it's not looking good! I've spent most of the day indoors again as a result, playing games and watching movies to pass the time. The Raspberry Pi 5 is quite the capable little media centre for what it costs, I have a 8TB hard drive full of media connected to mine and using LibreELEC for the distribution, it's played everything that I've got so far, just fine!

Ich habe den "Windows Boot Manager"-Eintrag anlegen müssen damit #libreelec startet.
Funktioniert.

#LibreElec und #Kodi verwende ich ja nun wirklich lange und nach all dieser Zeit sitze ich das erste Mal vor einem Endgerät, einem älteren All-in-One-PC von Lenovo, auf dem sich das System zwar installieren aber nicht starten lässt. Installation macht keine Probleme, beim Bootvorgang heißt es "da ist kein OS".
Na dann, tinkern wir mal los.

An unfortunately cloudy day at home, not the sort for taking pictures! I've been inside as a result... I've been trying to find a way of preventing a USB hard drive attached to my Raspberry Pi from spinning down, as it makes remote playback unreliable, but I can't find any option for doing so in LibreELEC. I might have to go on another OS adventure for the Pi...Raspberry Pi OS was a bit buggy, maybe there's something else I could use?

After poking around in the settings for LibreELEC on the Raspberry Pi, I realized it could also act as a server for media via Samba...so I connected a hard drive to it and set it up! I've been streaming a movie from that to an Apple TV running VLC without issue, very impressive that it all works so well! I'm glad I got my Pi before the prices of hardware went crazy 🤔

Die letzten Jahre habe ich LibreElec auf einen RPI 3/4 als meine Smart-TV Lösung für meinen großen NoGIS-Fernseher verwendet. Ja, damals musste man in Österreich noch die GIS-Gebühr für den Fernseher bezahlen.
Jedenfalls vor einer Woche begann es mit Ton-und Bildausfällen.
Habe mich erst heute zu einer Fehleranalyse motivieren können. Aus irgendeinen Grund funktioniert es ohne Probleme im Wohnzimmer am 32" Fernseher.

I hate condescending OS. Today: #LibreELEC. I'm playing with #Kodi once again and ssh'ed into the box since it behaves oddly (dropping Wifi5 connections. lags extremely, occasionally reboots). All my usual tools for diagnostics are missing, but there is apt-get. However, apt-get is just a script telling me there is no apt-get and that I should install software via Kodi. Sorry but fuck you sincerely, what is your thought process with shit like that? Just don't ship apt-get if you don't have it! 🖕

It's too cold and rainy to do much outdoors today! I've been having a relaxing day in the house as a result, alternately reading on my iPad or watching movies on the Raspberry Pi, depending on what catches my interest. The latter has been working perfectly since installing LibreELEC. I simply connect it to the NFS share on my Ubuntu server and stream media to the big screen TV in our family room...it couldn't be easier! The same server also runs my website and provides me with my connection to the wider fediverse via Misskey, so Ubuntu has proven itself more than capable as a server OS, particularly for home lab environments like mine. If you have an old desktop PC to play around with, consider repurposing it as a server for your own specific needs! It takes a fair bit of effort, but the rewards are well worth the work that you have to put in. 👍

LibreELEC appears to be working just fine on the Raspberry Pi 5! I connected it to my NFS share and it started playing back perfectly. Now I can ditch the Google TV and go with a truly open solution!

Seit ein paar Tagen ist mein Media-Center Libreelec am Raspberry PI nicht mehr verwendbar. Kein Ton bei Live-TV oder Streaming; alle paar Sekunden wird der Bildschirm schwarz und nach einiger Zeit ist die grafische Benutzeroberfläche aufgrund von Grafikfehlern nicht mehr bedienbar.
Hoffe es ist nur das HDMI Kabel und nicht der RPI selbst. Bei den enormen Preisanstieg weiß ich nicht, ob ich mir nochmals einen Raspberry PI zulegen werde.

@schmaker já úplně neporadím, protože mám jinej use case. Nepotřebuji SteamLink a Tidal bych si pouštěl přes receiver.
Máme doma jen projektor, telku vůbec nevedeme. Vyhovuje nám kombinace #Kodi přes #rpi s #LibreELEC (a koukám, že tam je plugin i na ten SteamLink) a obsah streamujeme přes #Emby
Android TV pro mě není jednoduše proto, že to je další uzavřený crap, který nebude mít security podporu. Počítám, že tam některý věci budou jednodušší, ale naštěstí nevím, že mi chybí :)

#samsung #raspberryPi #kodi #libreelec Having a problem with getting the remote on my Samsung TV to work with Kodi (in LibreELEC) to work again. Sometimes the TV's remote and LibreELEC stop talking to each other, but after a few days it magically starts working again. So far it's been three weeks since it last worked. Does anyone know of either go solid fix for this, or can recommend a good universal remote that would handle both the Samsung TV and the Raspberry Pi 4?

Bought a Beelink S13 for #libreelec, to replace the aging Pi4, only to find the damned thing doesn't support CEC.
Am I better finding a replacement machine that supports CEC, or getting the #pulseeight USB CEC adapter? -
I don't suppose there are any #LibreElec users on here who have had success getting the Hauppauge WinTV Nova S2 USB satellite tuner working? Specifically revision BBH9 with a USB ID of 2013:0264 - apparently also known as PCTV Systems PCTV 461
As I understand it this is a new chipset so the existing Linux support for a service of the same name doesn't work, but the firmware has been released and may even now be in upstream Linux kernels.

How I could get a #LibreELEC Image into a #LXC or #VM container and AutoStart it on boot without interaction?
In best case without the need that this container use the graphic core exclusively.
I have to use one device for several usecases, but I do wish to split my #Mediacenter from other #SelfHosting projects.

Es gibt noch TV-Geräte ohne "smarte"-Funktionen? - Cool!Ich mag weder die Bedienberflächen von Smart-TV, noch die Datensammelei der Hersteller.
Ich nutze einen Raspberry-PI mit #libreelec und #Kodi als Zuspieler. Da alles so einrichten wie ich will, inklusive Einbindung lokaler Inhalte.

@[email protected] yessaaa kodi è letteralmente la mia TV, ho un Raspberry Pi 4 con #libreelec ( una distribuzione Linux con solo kodi) e ho installato diversi addon sia per vedere i film ( spesso) che per vedere la TV ( raramente).Io a casa non ho una TV vera e propria ho un monitor di 32 pollici e il Raspberry con kodi, in questo modo non pago il canone perché dichiaro che non ho la TV, pagare il canone per guardare nulla mi sembra un furto
