  1. One of the most amazing things right now is that there are GPs in Cape Town who are neurodivergent affirming and specialize in working with gender queer / trans people.

    For example:
    Dr Nicole Chilimigras drchili.co.za/

Dr Anastacia Tomson (she's a trans woman) myfamily.gp/doctors/anastacia-

Dr Robyn Milton (She's AuDHD) docrobyn.co.za/

Of these I've only seen Dr Chili myself, but I'm actually quite curious about the others!

  6. Just read "Loveless" by Alice Oseman.
I really enjoyed it, although it did drag just a bit towards the end.

It's YA with an aro-ace main character. It reminded me of Becky Albertali's books: lots of queer young people, and what I've seen people call a "Tumbler" vibe. I don't mean that in a disparaging way!

It's about a young woman (British) leaving home for the first time, going to university with her two best friends, and figuring out her sexuality as a person who's never experienced romantic or sexual attraction.

It hooked me emotionally, (spent all of Sunday reading!) although the plot got a bit overly complex in the last few chapters.
I thought it struggled a bit to thread the needle of pointing out how obsessed our society is with romance, while also having a "will they won't they" lesbian romance sub-plot with some of the secondary characters.

But it has lovely found-family vibes!

I’m fascinated by it for other reasons. How old is the smoking after sex trope?

The usual voices howled "unlawful." The trust held the line at the ward door.

  41. I'm going to the #LGBTQA Club tonight, looking forward to climbing into one of the gogo cages and dancing my ass off. Hopefully I'll go home with one or more cute girl's, who will slowly peel me out of my Itsy Bitsy PVC outfit.
