The Levi's '93 501 jeans I recently wore has two knee rips that were sold brand new that way (i.e. distressed). The problem is that rips are not aligned. The rip on the right leg hits right at my knee, but the rip on the left leg is several inches too high, on my thigh. I really like the feeling of the knee rip opening and closing as my leg bends. So I added a new rip for my left knee, first fraying the denim by rubbing it with a knife edge and then opening the rip. Fun!

I paired them with blue denim Nike x Levi's Air Max 95 sneakers, released in 2025.

I am not a hugely patriotic person, although I am grateful and appreciative to be a U.S. citizen. Also, I think the more life I have under my belt, the less significance there is for anniversaries. Maybe this Independence Day we could all commit a little time to actually read the Declaration of Independence. And also the Constitution.
Anyway, it's still a good reason to wear red, white, and blue.

I was reminded to get a shot of the heel-drag hem damage (double alliteration?). In my experience, a heavy wallet in on back pocket may cause heavier drag on that side's hem. In this pair there is a wallet fade and wear-through on the right back pocket, and the damage on the right back hem is higher than the damage on the left back hem.
