Since my daughter started to draw on my notebook covers a while ago, plain covers won’t do anymore. Sadly, she couldn’t do it for my next diary so I broke out all my washi tape to at least have something going on.

I saw these new Drehgriffels from Leuchtturm1917 yesterday, and I would have instantly bought one, but they only made it for Nr. 1 (ballpoint pens), and not Nr. 2 (mechanical pencils) :neofox_snug_glare:

Ich bin von den Socken wie viel Feedback ich von euch zu meiner Frage bekommen habe. Echt wertvolle Tipps, Vorschläge und auch Links zu spannenden Webseiten, Blogs und Videos/Videochannels zum Thema. Dafür möchte ich mich bei Allen sehr bedanken. Ich bin heute dabei, das alles zu sichten und habe mich bisher dazu entschieden, mir dann wenn es nächsten Monat los geht, eins #BuJo von #Leuchtturm1917 zu nehmen. Ich glaube, dass ich davon absehe mit Füller zu schreiben weil das, wenn man etwas Vernünftiges möchte, ein zu großer Kostenfaktor ist. Werde dann wohl auf etwas Anderes tendieren. Und nun werde ich mal nach und nach eure tollen Mentions beantworten :herz:

Gibt ja einige Fediwesen, die das machen. Nun meine Frage: Was für ein Journal sollte 1 sich zulegen ? Also Marke, Papierstärke etc. Worauf gilt es zu achten ?

It's new notebook day! Outgoing on the left is a Leuchtturm 1917 in B5 and incoming on the right is a Noble Note (also in B5). Custom artwork by my talented 14 year old daughter using acrylic markers. I've now added a see through cover and two bookmarks. Now the setup work can begin!

I've tried to really love #Things and the task list in #WithMoxie, but I miss physically writing things down for my daily lists. Moreover, I miss the ritual of assessing my day and planning the next away from my PC.

So we're back to the trusty #Leuchtturm1917 and Lamy Al-Star for some ultra-light #BulletJournal style task management for a bit to see how it feels.

No trackers, no fancy layouts, just to-do's with a / for started tasks or tasks with clients and an X to mark them complete.

Look at me, I'm posting my journal deco for May 6-13 actually on time. LOL

I'm really pleased with my collages this week.
It's the week of the dot stickers. Only one spread has no circle or dot stickers. As I said last week, dots bring everything together. I love dots.

I added a close up of that one boy sticker, because of the reflection on it on the big photo. I love these boy tapes. 🔥😇

Which leads me to a question: The week after that is my birthday and I am torn about how to decorate that day: fun party spread, or sexy boys??? 😅 I am tending towards sexy boys. I have some funny ones.

Journal deco for the last and this week. I was not at my A game for sure, I worked quick to get it done as fast as possible.
My least favourite spread is the pink one with the dancing ladies. I think I rescued it ok though with adding all those sakura stickers.
And that is what I like about being creative: some things don't work how you envision them, but often there are ways to rescue them still. Just add stickers 😆, especially dots. Dots bring so many pages together, it's incredible.

Most of the stickers I used for the third spread (Picnic girl) are from Pen&Alex's March Sticker club (Patreon).

Journal deco for March 19th-April 7th, 2024

I am extremely late in posting my journal deco for the last weeks in March and the first week of April. I was on holidays for the last two weeks and before that I was a bit lazy. So I caught up a bit, though for the last two weeks I only did 2 spreads and only journaled about the days I actually had anything to say.

So, today I unwrapped a NOS #Moleskine notebook, that I had stored in a drawer for some years (no sunlight!), and it is horrible. The paper around the edges is heavily yellowed and you can clearly see, where the bookmark was wrapped around the edge.

Also, the paper has terrible bleed when used with #FountainPens … honestly, I really don't like it. My #Leuchtturm1917 notebooks are much better in every way.

Am I just out of luck with this one? Or are Moleskines just that bad?

As a long time user of Uni Kuru Toga mechanical pencils I'm generally not interested in other pencils that don't rotate the lead for you, but the Leuchtturm1917 Drehgriffel Nr. 2 looks so nice I decided to give it a go.

It only accepts 0.7mm lead, and the twist mechanism to extend the lead is a bit tricky to use one-handed, but it looks and feels very nice :neofox_floof_happy: Plus it's available in a plethora of different colours, which makes it hard to pick just one :neofox_aww:

For once my old notebook ran out of pages exactly at the end of a year. Feels nice to start the new (work) year with a fresh one.

Almost time to replace the worn out 5 year old journal with a spiffing new one.

Maybe the new one will be in use for a shorter period, maybe it will be longer. Who knows!
