#Iwatched the 2008 Swedish #vampire film #LetTheRightOneIn whose 2h runtime is mostly due to its glacial opening. It picks up when a sweet relationship develops between bullied 12yo Oscar and the vampire girl Eli. The film lives of the natural skills of the two child actors and excellent sound effects. The story however has either been cut down too much from the book or not enough, leaving us with weird remnants like a view of her sutured crotch, her nondescript father and an inept happy end.

Remember that there is actually only one child in "Let the Right One In." The other character just looks, um, very very very young for her age.

I finally watched #LetMeIn and the reviews I read are right: It's a very good #Hollywood #remake of the original #Swedish, #LetTheRightOneIn (#LåtDenRätteKommaIn); maybe the best such #movie I've seen.
It sticks to the story and looks great. I especially love the lighting of the railroad, bridge (b/w!), and pool shot (you'll know them when you see them).
I liked the treatment of the parents, especially mom, but the religiosity added nothing.
It's still a #LoveStory. In a way.

Many of these are leaving the service December 31 though.

Just watched the season finale of #LetTheRightOneIn. It was quite good in places, ploddy in others. This last episode took too long to get going, although the final scene was an interesting twist.
Overall, I enjoyed it and will watch another season. #Television #Showtime
