  1. @saxnot hey sorry, we are in the middle of quite some stuff before day1 and hadn't had time to properly check things before replying to you...

briefly discussed this with a wider group, and the little that was known about "#lesswrong", and what we could find about it got a rather consensual feeling of "icky". everyone is welcome anytime anyways, but it doesnt seem like something we would like to include in our own little "fahrplan".

    I am sure you'll understand. <3

  2. CW: Epstein Files: why Epstein's friends hate Yudkowsky

I mean jeez, this is fucking #Deathism.

No wonder these people hate #EliezerYudkowsky if they literally want Global Warming to kill people. His casual Libertarian / Socialist musings are literally the antithesis of this racist sexist pro-death fascist idiocy, and he's literally spent the last 10 years screaming "don't let these people run society."

In fact the fact that the people he was associating with here are so fundamentally at odds with #Yudkowsky speaks VOLUMES about his character, in ways that are making me reassess my issues with him: I'd take an entire #LessWrong worth of rambling Yudkowsky fans over Joscha Bach's brand of fascist deathism any day.

  3. "This title is reasonable" – a commentary on LW, speaking to the title of the book "If Anyone Builds It, Everyone Dies"

    (audio: 28min)

I've read the book. While the title raised my eyebrows originally, the argument contained is very well put forward, and lived up to my high expectations to the authors.

Anyone who cares about where our future with #AI is heading, would do well to read this book – and share it with policy makers!

  4. It always ends up the same way, "I should do what I want, and I want to do cruel, weird shit to other people without their consent"
    Yawn.

  6. потерял точилку на кухне

интересно, есть ли "рациональные" способы поиска потерянного? (точилка подарок, поэтому есть эмоциональная привязанность)

получил обновление своих убеждений о мире и о своих навыках искать точилку

  7. #LessWrong is a community blog focused on "refining the art of human #rationality." To this end, it focuses on identifying and overcoming bias, improving judgment and problem-solving, and speculating about the future. The blog is based on the ideas of Eliezer Yudkowsky, a research fellow for the Machine Intelligence Research Institute (MIRI; previously known as the Singularity Institute for Artificial Intelligence, and then the Singularity Institute). Many members of LessWrong share Yudkowsky's interests in #transhumanism, artificial intelligence (AI), the #Singularity, and #ai

  8. Разобрался в основном с алгоритмом обучения gradual value/policy iteration, прикольненький.

    gibberblot.github.io/rl-notes/ тут что-то про него

  9. a bit of embroidery after a few months of hiatus.

I think this is the most important question we all need to ask ourselves.

"What do you think you know and how do you think you know it?"
