  1. The mystery (?) CD is "GaijinCD4" by Disc — a collaboration between #Matmos, #Kid606 and #Lesser. Described in the catalog as "skipping noise terror". Meaning, it's made from CD skipping sounds. To leave no doubt about that fact, a Hildegard of Bingen CD full of cracks is included as a bonus. I mean, everybody sure loves skipping CDs, and this makes it an even funkier experience.

  3. @novenary Here’s the thing: they always, ALWAYS try to optimize costs. If you regulate it properly, it means less resource usage and less harmful pollution. That sounds great! And uh…. absolutely nothing like society :blobcatderpy:

So there’s minmaxing, particularly through scale. Instead of setting supply goals, we set demand goals, which is :blobcatgooglyheadache:

There’s also inflation ‒ as prices are MEANT to go up according to government policy, and has been for a century, without any solid evidence favoring it… and with rich people always surpassing it because line goes up. Hence, they’re being extremely incentivized to do minmaxing. This is regulated, btw, through interest rates in central bank loans ‒ which have been left even on negative, basically giving away free money to rich people until they blow everything up, at which point they expect #lesser people to lose jobs and wages so that prices come back to a halt.

…….so why the hell are we doing that????????????????

  4. The Madrid government has set an staggered return to universities. The last ones, on September 28? The most important and politically linked ones.

Pretty good way to prevent anything happening to them by checking how students in other, #lesser universities go first.

That includes mine, so I won't be surprised if I don't have to come back to uni this year.
