"One Hand, One Heart" is a song from the musical West Side Story by #LeonardBernstein and #StephenSondheim. It is a duet sung between Maria and Tony while they have a make-believe wedding, as seen in the stage version and #1961Film, while in the #2021Film, they sing it as they pledge their love to one another inside a church at #TheCloisters as part of their date. #LarryKert and #CarolLawrence introduced it in the 1957 Broadway production.

This is the fifth movement of his “Divertmento for Orchestra” which can be heard in its entirety here (https://youtu.be/HcraRw8YuGY?si=vEoC16yKJggJ2EG5) Overall, this was written to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. This movement is known for its uncommon time signature which gives it a fun, humorous edge.

mit Werken von #KurtWeil #GeorgeAntheil #PaulHindemith #LeonardBernstein und #MarcBlitzstein.
Und danach im großen Saal Bernsteins 2. Sinfonie und die Uraufführung der wahrscheinlich einzigen kubistischen Oper PARABOLA AND CIRCULA von Marc Blitzstein. Sie entstand 1929 und wurde tatsächlich noch nie gespielt.
